“WHAT MUST I PREACH TO BE SAVED?"
I Tim. 4:16 

Introduction: Preachers are usually looked upon as persons who cannot be lost. "Reverend." "Rt. Reverend." Text, shows how preacher may be saved. To do otherwise is to be lost! 

I. PROOF THAT PREACHERS, TOO, CAN BE LOST. 1 Cor. 9:27; Rev. 20:10;22:18,19; 1 Tim. 4:16 

II. OF THESE THINGS I AM CERTAIN: 

1. I must speak as the oracles of God. 1 Pet. 4:11; Isa. 8:20; John 8:31,32  2. I must not contradict teaching of apostles. Gal. 1:8,9;2 Tim. 2:2  3. I must not transgress their words. 2 John 9; Rev. 22:18,19  4. I must preach one doctrine. I Tim. 4:16; Acts 2:42 III. SOME THINGS I CANNOT PREACH AND BE SAVED  1. Faith alone doctrine  2. Hereditary sin doctrine  3. Mourner's bench system  4. One church as good as another  5. Unity on terms of compromise  6. Instrumental music as being scriptural worship IV. WHAT, THEN, SHALL I PREACH TO BE SAVED? l. Preach word. 2 Tim. 4:1,2; Acts 8:4;16:32  2. Preach Jesus. Acts 8:5;8:35; 1 Cor. 2:2-3 3. Preach peace. Acts 10:36; Eph. 2:17; 4:1-3  4. Preach faith. Gal. 1:23; Rom. 10:8; Rom. 16:25,26  5. Preach things pertaining to Kingdom. Acts 8:12  6. Preach against error. 2 Tim. 4:2; 1 Tim. 5:20; Tit. 2:15 V. HOW SHALL I PREACH THESE THINGS?  1. Boldly.
