Modern Literal Version
[2 Corinthians 6] 6:1And working together with him, we are also encouraging youĎ to not accept
the grace of God in vain; 6:2 (for* he says, 'I heard you at an acceptable time and I helped you in a
day of salvation;'{Isa 49:8} behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of
salvation), 6:3 giving no one a stumbling block in anything, in order that the service from us
might not be blamed. 6:4 Butwe are commending ourselves in everything, as servants of God: in
much endurance, in afflictions, in calamities, in distresses, 6:5 in lashes, in prisons, in unrest, in
labors, in sleeplessness, in fasts; 6:6 in purity, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Holy
Spirit, in non-pretended love*, 6:7 in the word of truth, in the power of God; through the weapons
of righteousness from the right hand and from the left hand, 6:8 through glory and dishonor,
through defamation and good-repute; as misleaders and yet true; 6:9 as being unrecognized and
yet being fully known; as dying and behold, we live; as being disciplined and yet not being slain;
6:10 as sorrowful, yet even habitually rejoicing; as poor, yet enriching many; as having nothing
and yethaving all things.
6:11O Corinthians, our mouth has opened to youĎ, our heart has been widened. 6:12 YouĎ are not distressed by us, but youĎ are distressed by yourĎ own affections, 6:13 but the same as recompense, (I speak to you as to my children). YouĎ also, be widened in yourĎhearts.
6:14 DoĎ not become unequally yoked with unbelieving ones; for* what partnership has
righteousness and lawlessness? And what fellowship has light with darkness? 6:15 And what
agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with unbelieving ones? 6:16 And
what alliance has a temple of God with idols? For* youĎ are a temple of the living God; just-as
God said, 'I will be dwelling among them and will be walking among them, and I will be their
God and they will be a people to me.' 6:17 Hence 'Come out from the midst of them and be
separate*,' says the Lord, 'And touch no unclean thing, and I will accept youĎ 6:18 and will be a
Father to youĎ and youĎ will be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.' {Lev 26:11-12;
