Change Log for the Modern Literal Version - The World's Most Accurate Bible Translation

Modern Literal Version of the New Testament The OPEN Bible Translation Change & Update Log End of September & First of October: English proofreaders are still going along slowly. NEED MORE HELP HERE! We searched though all the Lexicon (our tracker for changes in the Modern Literal Version) and added symbols to the English words to keep them tracked better. English words that were used for only one specific Greek word * English words that were used for multiple Greek words which are from the same base word ^ English words that were used for multiple Greek words which are from the same base word but are connected by a synonym ^^ English words that were used for multiple Greek words which have no connection to each other ~ Search consisted of about 4600 English words. End results were about 60 Greek words were more uniformly rendered or changed into different English words. (The Koine Greek language was about 10,000 word; Modern English is about 250,000. But even then some words just do not have enough English synonyms to go around like the words: go, come, need, very.) Middle of October, 2012: We changed the format of the * asterisks to be superscript vs. smaller font. This should make the universal footnote references let abusive to the reader. We took the Lexicon words used in the MLV and put into a database to remove duplicates. We took the Modern Literal Version and did the same. Checked and made sure all the words specified in the Lexicon found by comparing the 2 databases had actually been changed in the MLV... about 100 words fixed (mostly tenses) and about 5 Greek words. End of October & First week of November: Found 1100 or so words in the Modern Literal Version database of words not listed in the Lexicon database. So another 1100 searches to do. (Boring but necessary.) We found a few supplied words not marked which are now. English proofreading is continuing. Brad fixed the E-Sword module and uploaded current version 10/30 Down to 543 words left in English to place into the Lexicon. November 3rd Week: Proofreaders are still at it. Down to 141 words left in English to place into the Lexicon. All these checks is what make the MLV what it is. Things that NO other translation ever did-- too much work! December 1 Updated all word processor & HTML version to web site. 2 more people joined the ranks of hundreds who have helped with the MLV. December 22- Jan. 5 Major fixes inside of the Lexicon. Many related back to more accurate renderings in the MLV. (Forgot to update this.) Lexicon entries. 8-19-13 fixed 2225 8-20-13 to 9-03-13 Recheck of Subjunctive Mood verbs – DONE; 8-21-13 Fixed 2110 to benefactors. 8-22-13 “should” check for possible “might” changes 8-24-13 “would” checked for consistency. (Should be 0302; fixed 2309 to will/wish). 8-25-13 - 3745 with 302/1437 checked. (3745 needs checked everywhere after next CSV update.)X 8-27-13 - 2523 changed; more proofreaders input added. (Scripture(s) uniform) 8-28-13 - back to checking 3745 finished. 8-29-13 - fixed wanton & 1922 revisited. 8-30-13 - work on Lexicon for Dictionary later * added to Proper Names. Look at 4334 later X. Cleaned up “lay” to “place” on 5087 words. 9-1-13 - More Subjunctive & additions to Appendix that, be. 9-2-13 - “ou 3756 not {PRT-N} mh 3361" made NEVER 9-3-13 - 1509, 1509b idioms fixed and in Lex. 9-4-13 - more proofreaders work added. 9-5-13 - expanded the Preface. 9-6-13 - created MLV Word List to include in Printed Edition but probably not cost effective. 9-7-13 - more proofreaders work added. 9-8-13 - Lord’s Day from here on until Printed Copy is available most time will be spent on getting the "camera ready copy" ready.
