Who Does God Think He Is?

Worship isn't enough. The Bible says that voluntary humility, severity to the body, acts of contrition, and such like may be nothing more than evidence of "will worship;" that is, serving one's own interests (see Colossians 2:18-23). Furthermore, Jesus said that "not everyone who says unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 7:21). The only people who will enter into the joy of God's reward are those who keep His commandments.

Even so, it is hard to convince people that it is God's will which must be obeyed rather than man's (especially our own personal will). When this church points out what God said about a matter, many protests are received. Things are fine so long as the matter doesn’t cause the person to change his personal habits or convictions. It doesn’t matter to these people what God has to say about it. Some react as if saying, "Who does God think he is?" Well, to put it simply: He is God! It is His will which ought to be preeminent. Only the rebellious turn against His teaching. To learn more about this please visit, call, or write.
